Marvel Relaunches 'West Coast Avengers' as Young Hero Team

Stage 2: Coppell

I had originally planned on making this the 9th stage of my 10in10 because it is a very familiar course. I work in Coppell and spend fall and winter training on these routes. Over the last year or so I've opted to run the Keller and North Richland Hills courses at home instead so I can recover properly at home rather than sit at my desk at work for the rest of the day.

Frankie & Keith
The reason I moved it up is because a co-worker agreed to run with me. Frankie, a fellow marathon runner, and a Boston Qualifier. He is a good running partner because I was sure he would push me, rather than me having to push him.

Coppell Nature Park

We agreed to meet at work at 6:45am, the cold front came through sothe weather was quite pleasant and we even had a little mist near the end of the run. Rather than running my planned course Frankie lead the way and we went through Coppell Nature Park. Andrew Brown Park would have made for more photo ops, but if you run as much as me you welcome a new and unplanned course.

We started at a modest 8:30/mi and ended just under 8:00/mi. The ramp up helped me regain some confidence that I've lost this last week from fatigue of high mileage and playing ultimate. You can follow the links under the maps to zoom in and see my pace.

Tomorrow Colleyville!
